Synopsis: One of the marvels of the engineering world as much as it is today as it was when it was built, the Brooklyn bridge would never have been completed if it wasn’t for the chief engineer’s wife Mrs. Emily Warren Roebling. After her husband was incapacitated by a mysterious illness, she filled the position of Chief Engineer of the Great Bridge. In the late 18th Century, in a very male dominated world and in the especially male dominated industry of engineering, Emily Warren Roebling rose to the occasion to complete the project her husband started.
